Heel leuk om zo vlug een nieuw forum op te richten. Nu maar hopen dat er nog meer mensen
de weg vinden naar dit forum. Het goudforum.com vond ik heel interessant maar door het betalend
te maken zijn ze volgens mij dan een verkeerde weg ingeslaan.

ONdertussen minder dan 38000 euro voor een kilo. Ik dacht dat we in het begin van de week een bodem
hadden gezet maar het zal nog wat lager moeten.

Ik kijk dagelijks naar het aanbod van de Goudbank Antwerpen; wat ze hebben vliegt de laatste dagen letterlijk de deur uit (behalve hun huismerk bars).

Gisterenmiddag stonden er nog 7 "Pesos" en een 90-tal Europese munten, Pond + Gulden als ik me niet vergis), staafjes van 100 / 50 / ounce en 20 gram; nu nog 3 ounce baartjes...
Als ze Krugers aanbieden (zelden de laatste tijd) zijn die steevast na een paar uur weg

Chinese gold production continues to increase


Gold bars China's gold production continues to increase and reached 226,388 metric tons in the first eight months of this year. This corresponds with an increase of 3.87% compared with the same period last year, as China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced yesterday. In the last decade China has become the world’s largest gold producer, and observers expect the country to surpass India as the world's largest gold consumer soon.

In August alone, China produced 31.89 metric tons of gold. The total value of gold produced by China's mining companies reached $26.55 billion in the first eight months of this year. This corresponds with an increase of 23.14% compared with the same period last year. China's total gold output set new records in 2010 by reaching 340.88 metric tons. Observers expect China's domestic gold producers to surpass this level by the end of this year.

COT data in the US shows that speculative sentiment has fallen dramatically which is bullish from a contrarian perspective. The Got Gold Report reports that silver futures market data is the most bullish it has been since 2003 - eight years ago. Silver was priced at about $4.40 per ounce then. Large commercial shorts have dramatically reduced their positions after the selloff in recent weeks suggesting that we are likely at or very close to silver bottoming. While the figures for gold are not as dramatic they too show that speculative positions and sentiment has been reduced significantly. Venezuela will repatriate some gold reserves held abroad before December 24th, Central Bank President Nelson Merentes told reporters today in Caracas according to Bloomberg. “I can’t give you an exact date for security reasons,” Merentes said. Venezuela will keep an unspecified portion of its gold reserves in foreign institutions, he said. In August, President Hugo Chavez ordered the central bank to repatriate $11 billion of gold reserves as a safeguard against volatility in financial markets. Venezuela held 211 tons of its 365 tons of gold reserves in US, European, Canadian and Swiss banks as of August.
