I just read blondie/s view on fofoa/s weblog. Again a pile of words over a few lines they disagree with.
Not only do they disagree with Martin Armstrong, now they seem to disagree with James Sinclair too because he actually repeted those lines on his website. They seem to disagree with anybody who is writing about gold.

Maybe fofoa invented a misterious brand new religion only a few followers are able to understand and his disciple blondie is preaching this new religion like in the photoshopped picture.
A religion that is contained in many hughe piles of text, thicker than the Bible and more complex than the Quran, because it's so simple to explain according to the believers....

Anyhow I don't understand this religion. Much too complex and incoherent for me and I am walking my own simple goldtrail. The same money vs goldtrail, Armstrong & Sinclair are walking and that's a plain and simple physical goldtrail that doesn't need so many words and discussions.

yup ... how simple can it be ...

40 years now the debt was piling up fast without sufficient growth support and they made us believe that someday a miracle would happen and debt was going to be paid off.
Because reality shows us that there ain't gonna be a miracle there are only 2 ways out: default or (hyper)inflation.
That is the story Armstrong and Sinclair are telling us and that is the reason why real stuff wil prevail for a limited time over artificial stuf, like 'money', just to preserve wealth.

MoneyDebt = "promises, promises" and "want to believe" for thousands of years now. Time and again those promises were made and people believed this time they could rely on money. Many times in history, money was minipulated into hughe piles of debt that couldn't be paid off and the promises were broken again. Like we never learn from history.
Because of this throught history revolving debt thing, Gold will rise and Gold will fall but Gold isn't going to change human behaviour. That's what I tried to explain Blondie and that is what he rejects. He doesn't seem to understand that Religion is also a promise and a make believe. Gold will never dominate money because our greed doesn't want to be limited .... only for the brief times in history when money promises are broken again, debt has to be inflated and there's no other way to preserve our wealth then to swap it into gold.

Everything that needs to be said has already been said.
But since no one was listening, everything must be said again.

Its not just the debt that is the problem this time ...

It's the using this debt as a store of value!!!!

Here are what I find to be the key phrases in Blondie's post:

in this world there are two types of people: those who PRODUCE, and those who consume.

Gold functions as the ultimate store of value.

New money for the most part believes it has its surplus value securely stored in various financial instruments. Old money (real giants) knows better.

$US HI already happened.

the giants have no incentive to [lead]... they already have their gold, and they already know its value

[To blondie, this is wrong]: Today's money is nothing but trust.

“Savers”: those producers who currently do not understand gold.

Consumers (shrimps) are just along for the ride.

Not a lot of connecting logic, but a variety of dichotomies are used. The most emphasized is 'giant - shrimp':
Dichotomies:
Gold money - paper money
Producers - consumers
savers - debtors
Old money - new money
Giants - shrimps

Missing is any mention of 'timing'. The timing problem, what I think is the unspoken focus here, is resolved by 'following in the footsteps of giants'.

Personally, I suspect the term 'giant' can be replaced with a term that has more bite: oligarch. Armstrong doesn't use the term giant or oligarch. He blames the worlds problems on the abstract concepts 'governments' and 'socialism'. This is curious, since Armstrong spent years in jail because someone in the US government (an oligarch?) wanted to teach him a lesson.

So, despite Armstrong's disdain for the notion freegold, both FOFOA and he only differ slightly in perspective. Blondie and FOFOA recommend thinking like a giant. Armstrong recommends care to avoid getting stepped on while following those same giant footsteps.
